Volotea Cabin Baggage policy

According to Volotea, each passenger can take two pieces into the cabin of the aircraft. First piece is a personal item (i.e: a laptop bag) no larger than 35 x 35 x 20cm, that must fit underneath the front seat; the second one is a hand luggage bag with maximum dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20cm. Volotea allows both of these 2 items combine a weight up to 10 kg.

Bear in mind that Volotea hand luggage rules are no laughing matter and any piece of luggage bigger or heavier than allowed has a penalty fee of €60. There have been cases when people were not able to pay “ad hoc” and, therefore, were denied boarding.

Due to space limitations, only the first 75 passengers can bring their luggage in the cabin while the rest of the luggage will be stored in the cargo hold of the airplane.

Passengers of Volotea have the option to transport up to 5 pieces of checked baggage if they need, but the maximum weight allowed per passenger is 50 kg.

Volotea’s policy regarding animals and pets

Only cats and dogs are allowed. The container box must have maximum dimensions of 50 x 40 x 20 cm and the combined weight of animal + box cannot exceed 8 kg.
As in other companies, animal has to be at least 8 weeks old and passenger must deliver information of the animal (pet passport and health certificate) in order to receive clearance to flight.
