SHIPPING REGULATIONS

Regulations on shipping cell phones internationally

In most cases, it is possible to ship a cell phone internationally by either mail or courier. The only smartphone model not allowed for shipping by air is Samsung Galaxy Note 7 due to battery problems.
As of today, smartphones containing attached, non-removable lithium-ion batteries can be sent by all modes of transport, provided they comply with the parameters set forth in the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria:

Single-cell batteries: No more than 2 cells, ≤ 20Wh
Multi-cell batteries: No more than 4 cells, ≤ 100Wh

Lithium batteries exceeding the above specifications cannot be transported by air but can be carried by road or travel by sea.
When shipping your iPhones or other smartphone models, it is recommended not to charge the battery to more than 30%. You can find the relevant transportation recommendation for your specific mobile phone in the manufacturer’s product information sheet.

When shipping in routes that include non-EU countries, a customs declaration will be required.
